Petts Wood May Fayre – 1st May 2017

This year’s May Fayre will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May 2017.

There will be the traditional May Queen Parade, starting at 11.00am, followed by the crowning ceremony at midday.

Then spend the rest of the day browsing the wide variety of stalls and local shops, taking a spin on the funfair rides or watching live entertainment on the two stages (indoor and outdoor).

If you feel a bit peckish then satisfy your hunger at one of the various food stalls or one of Petts Wood’s many cafes or restaurants.

You can also buy raffle tickets with a chance to win an amazing prize donated by many of our fabulous local businesses.


Parade starts 11am – Queensway to Bluston Parade

Heading our parade are an all Boy Drumming Band called Project 13.

About the Performers

Rafferty’s and The Leftovers:

Both from Ravens wood Music Academy, Rafferty’s are an eight piece soul band bringing to you covers of classic soul & funk tunes. The Leftovers play Indie, guitar based pop with male vocals, bass, guitar, keyboard and drums. Two very talented bands from the 6th Form at Ravens wood School Bromley.


Petts Wood Operatic Society:

Since 1936, PWOS have been performing musicals & concerts in Petts Wood & the surrounding area. Now more than 80 years on with a thriving membership is thrilled to be performing some extracts from their latest show Betty Blue Eyes. They will be performing the show at the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks from 11th – 13th May.


Paul Brown:

Paul will be singing and strumming a selection of popular songs to suit a variety of musical tastes. A professional musician who has performed all around the country. Paul has lived in & around Petts Wood since early childhood.


Faded Shades:

A three piece band from Swanley, consisting of Joe, Charlie, and Liam. They are influenced by classic British Rock and also write original music. Look them up on Facebook.


Vessels of Faith:

Is the Gospel Choir of the House of Faith Christian Church, a place where people are challenged beyond their potentials, and transformed through the power in the name of Jesus Christ. They perform a monthly Musical Concert on the 1st Sunday of every month. Time 2.30 – 4.30pm at Petts Wood Memorial Hall. Admission is free. A fun Family Event. Refreshments served.


The Living Daylights:

Consists of next door neighbours Mark and Ron. They are members of separate bands who play together as an acoustic duo for open mic evenings & local Petts Wood events, covering 60’s music/Motown/Jam etc.


Cooper School of Dance:

Are a fresh, modern, exciting and exhilarating Dance school in Bromley Kent. They offer classes such as Ballet, Tap, Modern Street, Acro, singing and much more. Contact Claire – 07954 654909


Harlequins Theatre School:

A very talented Performing Arts School. They provide classes in Singing, Dancing and Drama. Pupils and entertainers will present a fun & energetic performance, filled with dances to all your favorite chart music.

Michelle Sidwell Academy Of Dance:

Are based in Chislehurst, they offer performing arts training & Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus examinations. Classes include Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, street and Musical Theatre. Pupils are also given the opportunity to perform in an annual production, held at the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham.
